This month, in the spirit of giving thanks, our team at Inato reached out to collaborators across our network to hear what they're grateful for. The common thread between each person’s response was their appreciation for the people they work with. It has given us the opportunity to pause and recognize the meaning in our connections to others throughout November.
Being in the clinical trials industry means being a part of the collective fight to change the lives of patients across the globe. We’re all striving, every day, for a world where innovative medication is effective for all and participation in trials is a universal opportunity. It’s easy to get caught up in the day-to-day efforts of pushing this mission forward, and forget to show gratitude to those who support us along the way.
Below, Alan Abraham of Preferred Primary Care Physicians, Michelle Hartmann of South Broward Research, Meghan Caldron of M3 Wake Research and our own Liz Beatty share what, and who, they’re grateful for. Take a look to see their great responses:
Alan Abraham
Director of Clinical Research at Preferred Primary Care Physicians
I am fortunate to work with an amazing group of intelligent, organized, and compassionate clinical research coordinators. The work they perform daily moves us all towards a better and more healthy future.
The clinical research industry was pushed to the forefront during the COVID pandemic. What many people do not realize is that daily, these professionals present an opportunity to many patients in need of innovative options to treat their debilitating and sometimes deadly diseases.
It is an honor to lead these health care professionals as we seek new ways to identify, treat, and improve health care on a global scale.
Michelle Hartmann, CCRP
Director at South Broward Research
During this season of Thanksgiving, it is important to step back and take a look at for what we are grateful. Within the research realm, I am grateful to be part of this amazing research community that is working toward the common goal of better treatments and better health. I am grateful for a team that has integrity and understands future treatments could impact them on a personal level. I appreciate the opportunities that this field has allowed me to pursue, and the amazing people I have met along this journey.
Meghan Caldron
Regional Director Clinical Operations, West Coast at M3 Wake Research
I am grateful to work in the clinical research industry, which is crucial to patient care improvement. Knowing that my daily contributions expand medical treatment options for future generations fills my heart with happiness and hope.
Liz Beatty
Co-Founder and CSO at Inato
I’m so grateful to work with such a great team of incredibly sharp and caring colleagues who are all focused on our shared mission of bringing clinical trials to the community.
Thank you all for your generosity, willingness, and determined efforts to ensure that our company works towards the change we need to see: enabling all community sites globally to bring the right trials to their patients and ultimately making medical research more accessible, inclusive, and efficient.
Thank you to all the researchers, to all the coordinators and nurses, and to all the scientists working to develop new therapies and make trials as safe as possible. Last but certainly not least, thank you to our own team members at Inato. Thank you for advocating for community research sites and helping them bring more trials to their patients. Thank you for helping our sponsors see these great sites and the meaningful ways they're making a difference for research. Most of all, thank you all for caring. Our work is about people. The people running trials. The people designing trials. The people making trials more accessible. The people participating in trials. And the people who desperately need access to trials. We're in the business of helping people get better – at whatever their role is. And we're grateful to have so many great people by our side as we grow better together.
